Your job

As our Business Consultant, you know all the ins and outs of the Data Quality Issue Management process. You ensure that solving Data Quality Issues runs smoothly by making agreements with all business lines, keeping track of the progress with the help of several dashboards, and thinking along with solutions to speed up the process. Not only do you set the standards and continuously improve the process, but you also make sure stakeholders know what's expected from help them to solve Data Quality issues.  

Some examples of your responsibilities:  

  • Own the processes of Data Issues Management and be an expert for users of the processes  
  • Implement improvements to the process to structurally solve data issues for the bank 
  • Work together with Data Quality issue managers, Data Stewards, Product Owners and others stakeholders to coordinate planning and execution of data issue resolution 
  • Create steering information to communicate towards users and senior management 
  • Create awareness for users by giving demos, knowledge bites and trainings 
  • Be a sparring partner for data owners, data users, data stewards 
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to processes and procedures 
  • Analyse business data and create visualizations using Power Bi to identify trends and provide insights into business performance 
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision making and ensure compliance with governance standards 

Working environment

As our Business Consultant, you become part of the core team Data Issue Management, responsible for the Data Quality Issue Management process within Central Data Office (CDO). In this growing team of professionals, we aim to help the bank control its Data Quality by creating transparency, letting parties take their accountability in solving issues, making the process more efficient and creating the right insights to enable correct decision making.  

The scope of the process is the entire bank, so the team is in constant collaboration with all business lines, international branches and subsidiaries. The expectations are high which is one of the reasons why we're looking for new colleagues.  

Your profile

You like to work with different types of colleagues, on different levels with different backgrounds. You're a good listener and love to network, but also keep agreements in mind. This means you know how to handle conflicts and aren't afraid to have a clear and different opinion. Practical skills, like working with Excel, PowerPoint and Jira, Power BI come natural to you just like taking along stakeholders and informing management. 

This is on your resume: 

  • Master’s degree 
  • More than 5 years of fulltime working experience 
  • Experience in data and/or process management 
  • Familiarity with behavioural change and/or Data Quality 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills 
  • Fluent in English  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Bi and related tools and technologies 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for growth

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
