You & Your Role

You play a pivotal role in shaping how Rabobank engineers benefit from Generative AI in their daily development work. As Product Owner for GenAI within Tech4Dev, you guide two dedicated squads to deliver (Gen)AI‑enhanced capabilities that reduce cognitive load, streamline the software development lifecycle, and elevate engineering productivity across our developer community. Throughout the software development life cycle, we ensure all Rabobank engineers can deliver high‑quality software that is robust, secure, and adheres to Rabobank standards.

To achieve this, you work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities that create measurable value, define KPIs and success criteria, and build and maintain a strategic roadmap for GenAI use‑case delivery. You validate priorities and ensure alignment with both engineering goals and enterprise standards, driving adoption through iterative delivery, clear communication, and continuous measurement. A key part of your role is ensuring every capability is delivered responsibly, securely, and compliantly - including overseeing operational guidance and the required security and compliance documentation for safe scale‑out.

You collaborate with a wide range of internal teams, external partners, and technology vendors to explore options, evaluate emerging capabilities, and ensure solutions integrate smoothly into Rabobank’s engineering landscape.

With this foundation in place, your focus is on delivering a portfolio of GenAI capabilities that enhance developer workflows - including coding assistance, generating technical and regulatory documentation, and other AI‑enabled improvements to the engineering process.

Through your leadership, Rabobank engineers gain access to intuitive, trusted, and well‑governed GenAI solutions that enhance their daily work and support a more streamlined and enjoyable engineering experience - fully aligned with our “Happy engineers” mission. Your role is pivotal in empowering engineers to use GenAI to build the next generation of banking solutions.

Practical examples

• Facilitate cross‑domain discovery to identify GenAI opportunities by engaging engineering, architecture, platform, governance, and business domains. Run experiments and user research to validate feasibility and value before adding items to the roadmap.
• Turn validated opportunities into actionable increments by defining clear outcomes, slicing work with your squads, and selecting sustainable technical approaches together with the Solution Architect. Ensure compliance, security, and responsible‑AI considerations are incorporated early in the delivery process.
• Launch and refine GenAI capabilities iteratively by measuring impact, gathering consumer insights, and adapting features and guardrails to improve adoption, usability, and operational safety.

Top 3 Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the GenAI vision, roadmap, and prioritisation by keeping the voice of the consumer central throughout the lifecycle. Engage stakeholders, Solution Architects, your squads, and external partners to understand needs, opportunities, and constraints, and align priorities with leadership, business objectives, and strategic direction.
• Align and coordinate delivery across engineering, Solution Architects, platform teams, governance functions, and external partners or vendors, resolving cross‑team dependencies early and embedding security, compliance, responsible AI principles, and regulatory expectations into all product decisions. Ensure every GenAI capability - whether built in house or integrated - meets Rabobank’s operational, governance, and quality standards for safe adoption at scale.
• Ensure highquality delivery and cultivate highperforming squads by partnering with the Scrum Master to maintain a healthy and effective team environment, offering clarity and constructive feedback, and enabling your squads to consistently deliver sustainable, high-quality increments.

You & Your Talent

• HBO/WO level of thinking and working
• You have proven track record and 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager in a complex, multi-stakeholder, technology-driven environment working in an Agile/Scrum context.
• You have experience delivering and operating digital products, platforms, or features at enterprise scale, managing a diverse set of stakeholders across business, engineering, and control functions (e.g., governance and compliance).
• You communicate clearly and confidently, tailoring complex information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• You are driven by business value and measurable outcomes, consistently keeping the strategic picture in focus over individual feature delivery.
• You actively drive user adoption and continuous improvement through structured enablement, data-driven iteration, and regular feedback loops.
• You maintain a clear, well-prioritized product roadmap that aligns dependencies, timelines, and strategic goals.
• You bring relevant technical product and market knowledge in (Gen)AI, DevOps, and cloud-based delivery.
• You demonstrate a strong growth mindset-curious, open to feedback, and comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone.
• PSPO certification (or equivalent product leadership experience) is a strong plus.

How did you define success (e.g., business KPIs, user outcomes), drive adoption, and measure impact post-launch? Could you provide an example of how you adapted your product roadmap in response to a significant change in the Generative AI landscape (e.g., new model capabilities, cost/performance shifts, regulatory guidance)?
• How did you align diverse stakeholders - such as engineering, data science, legal/compliance, and business sponsors and other stakeholders - through that change?
• Generative AI development often requires iterative experimentation while managing risk, security, compliance, and governance. How have you introduced or evolved ways of working - such as agile practices, experimentation frameworks, or risk controls - to enable speed, compliance, and collaboration across teams?
